More information about #MakBall can be found HERE.

Congressman Mitchell has been a staunch supporter of Macedonia’s right to self-determination and a member of the Congressional Caucus on Macedonia and Macedonian-Americans.

He made big headlines in Macedonia and among the global Macedonian diaspora community after he said “No one got to tell us what our name would be, we didn’t have to change our name to make other people happy…every nation gets to determine what their name is, what their rights should be, and other nations do not get to stand in the way of that – we’ll talk to the Greeks and get them to grow up.”

His speech was during a peaceful rally for Macedonia on Sunday, February 25, 2018 hosted by the Macedonian American Student Associations in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Watch the full speech HERE.
