UMD Generation M Launches Emerging Leaders Mentorship Program

The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) and young leaders Generation M are excited to announce the launch of our new Emerging Leaders Mentorship Program. In light of the current situation that affects us all, it is more important than ever to support our Macedonian community. The countries we live in and our Macedonian community are facing unprecedented challenges.  In times like these, leadership is needed more than ever.  With your help, we want to build an innovative network that is aimed at giving young Macedonians a head start in the professional world.

Far too often, students and young professionals find themselves looking for direction or advice from those in the industry. With a specific aim at young Macedonians, we hope that this program can help build our community and create professional relationships that span across every industry. The program focuses on four key areas – mentorship, leadership, volunteering, and networking. Mentors and mentees are expected to make a minimum three-month commitment and meet several times so the mentor can provide guidance and set goals.  Ideally, the mentor will provide guidance, information, and connections to the mentee that would clarify and strengthen their career path.

We are looking for mentors who want to make a difference by taking part in the program, helping us encourage and nurture the next generation of Macedonian leaders. Being a mentor can be an incredibly rewarding experience, contributing to professional development and helping to shape our Macedonian community’s future.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or a mentee, please complete the corresponding online application linked at the bottom. We would like to learn more about your interest in mentorship as well as your experience and educational background. We will review your application and contact you to arrange a meeting to discuss the mentorship screening, matching procedures, and the mentorship agreement. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
