UMD Presents Macedonia at Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

On October 9 & 10, 2019, Mishko Josifov, UMD Miami/Florida Chair, and Dana Klein, the Honorary Consul General of Macedonia to South Florida, took part in the Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo (FITCE), the largest government hosted international trade and cultural conference in the state of Florida. This year, FITCE 2019 welcomed local and international companies to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This convention presented UMD with the unique opportunity to represent the organization and Macedonia through an economic lens. UMD’s presentation focused on the tourism, business, trade, and outsourcing potential of business between Macedonia, the U.S., and the world. There were multiple avenues for UMD to engage expo guests; UMD had its own table during the FITCE and hosted our own presentation on the second day. The presentation featured remarks followed by a panel discussion on the benefits of business between Florida, Europe, and Macedonia, delivered excellently by Dana Klein. Over the course of the expo, we met with high-level government leaders, international trade experts, and business delegations from around the world. We engaged in dialogues related to international trade, foreign direct investment, and culture.

During the expo, we had the support and participation from our fellow Macedonians: President at Health Genesis Corp, Irena Bozdogan, and Sara Kastratovic, a business school student at Nova South Eastern University. Thank you to everybody who attended FITCE and who made UMD’s role at the expo such a great success.
