Dr. Seraphinoff, a second generation Macedonian-American, is currently Examiner Responsible for Macedonian Literature for the International Baccalaureate Organization of Cardiff, Wales, UK, an occasional lecturer on Macedonian studies at international conferences and at the University of Washington in Seattle, and a former adjunct professor of humanities at Skagit Valley College, Langley, Washington, USA.  Dr. Seraphinoff is author of both scholarly books and studies and is translator and author of a number of literary works with Macedonian themes.  He holds a B.A. in anthropology from Justin Morrill College, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. (1969), an M.A. in Slavic linguistics (1987) and a Ph.D. in Slavic languages and literature, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, 1993.
