International Policy and Diplomacy Fellow
Stefanie Nikolov, raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and of Macedonian descent, is currently in the process of completing her junior year of high school. She is active in her school as she is involved in numerous honors societies and volunteer organizations. She also holds multiple leadership roles, including being on the board of Model UN. She had the opportunity to be exposed to college level coursework through the Columbia University and Harvard University pre-college programs she attended this past summer. She plans to study International Relations in college.
Stefanie has been exposed to the UMD’s work her entire life and is excited to now be able to make an impact by advocating on behalf of Macedonia and our global Macedonian community.
Beyond her academic success, Stefanie enjoys writing in her free time, and even helps others with their writing through her school’s Writing Center. She has multiple pieces published in various magazines. Nonetheless, she also spends her time with other activities, as she is on her school’s Varsity Soccer and Track team.
