DIRECTOR, UMD AUSTRALIA
Vera Sekulovska was born in Bitola, Macedonia where her earliest, most treasured memories of family, language, and tradition originate from. At the age of six, she migrated to Sydney, Australia with her family. Her connection with Macedonia has motivated her to be a passionate advocate for human rights and to campaign for the rights of Macedonia and the diaspora.
She has completed Bachelor of Economics and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Sydney and is a practising Australian lawyer, tax practitioner, and notary public.
After having worked for some decades for major law and professional services firms representing large corporate clients, she currently runs her own legal practice in Sydney. She acts for a broad range of clients and offers pro bono services. Vera takes a personal interest in encouraging emerging young lawyers through her practice’s mentorship and internship program.
She holds memberships with the Law Society of New South Wales, the Law Council of Australia, the Taxation Institute of Australia, and the Society of Notaries of New South Wales.
As an avid traveller, she indulges her keen interest in history and exploring world cultures. She lives with her husband Nick and their daughters, Natalie and Stephanie.
