Former Macedonian First Lady and Prime Minister, current MPs Visit UMD Headquarters

On February 6, 2014, at UMD Headquarters in Washington, D.C., UMD leadership met with former First Lady of Macedonia Vilma Trajkovska, former Prime Minister of Macedonia Vlado Buckovski, Vice President of the Macedonian Parliament Suzana Saliu, and Members of Macedonian Parliament Silvana Boneva and Vlatko Gjorcev.

The discussions focused on U.S.-Macedonia relations, Macedonia’s NATO and EU prospects, inter-ethnic relations within Macedonia, and Diaspora voting rights for the next Presidential elections in Macedonia on April 13th.

February 26th marks the 10th year anniversary of the tragic death of President Boris Trajkovski – he will never be forgotten.
