An underpaid train mechanic gives his father a cake made from stolen marijuana to relieve his cancer pain, but finds himself cornered by the criminals who are searching for their drugs and the nosy neighbors who want a recipe for the “healing” cake.
Secret Ingredient won 15 international awards and premiered at 48 film festivals in a year, including A-listed: Tallinn Black Nights, IFFI Goa and Shanghai. HBO Europe released it on HBO GO and on their cinephile channel – Cinemax. Variety and Hollywood Reporter published stellar reviews and a top film critic included the film on her list of best films of the year.
