January 25, 2012 – Washington, D.C. – The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) is pleased to announce its new headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C. The modern office space is located near the White House and several federal agencies, and the McPherson Square Metro Station, at 1510 H Street, NW, Suite 900, Washington, D.C. 20005.
“We are proud of UMD’s new home, which is also a home to the entire Macedonian-American community and global diaspora,” said UMD President Metodija A. Koloski. “By being steps from the White House, in the heart of the nation’s capital, we are sending a clear message: the Macedonians have a strong voice in Washington, we will advocate for our interests and protect our cultural identity at the highest levels of influence.”
