The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) appeals to the citizens of Macedonia to refrain from violence. Violence is not the solution and leads to endangering the future, peace and stability in Macedonia. The only democratic solution for the crisis is dialogue among all political parties, instead of escalating situations like today’s in the Parliament with the illegal election of Talat Xhaferi as Parliament Speaker.
UMD urges the international community, especially the U.S. and the EU, to urgently condemn the imposed Tirana Platform, which we hope will ease the critical situation in Macedonia.
