May 1, 2012 – Washington, D.C. – The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) is pleased to inform that our friends, the National Federation of Croatian Americans Cultural Foundation (NFCA CF), the voice of over half a million Croatian-Americans, sent a letter to President Obama encouraging his “unbridled support for the Republic of Macedonia’s bid for full NATO membership during the upcoming Chicago Summit.”
UMD extends its sincere and heartfelt gratitude to our friends at the NFCA CF for their continued strong support of Macedonia. The Croatian-American and Macedonian-American communities, through NFCA CF and UMD, are working closely together to strengthen U.S. relations with Southeast Europe, and ensure the peace, security, and stability of the entire region. NFCA CF and UMD member in the Southeast Europe Coalition founded in 2011 as a result of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Global Diaspora Forum.
