GENERATION M, GLOBAL CO-CHAIR

Emilija Dimitrievski

Emilija Dimitrievski has been involved in Generation M since its Canadian launch in January 2015. She has been a part of the Toronto Macedonian community through various outlets over the last decade, specifically having participated in folklore group Ensemble Makedonka, youth group MYNET, the Ladies Auxiliary at St Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, university association AMSUT, and church choir.

Within UMD and Generation M’s efforts, Emilija has worked tirelessly to uplift Macedonian youth both culturally and professionally, most notably through her work in creating a global-scale mentorship program helping further advance the careers of Macedonian youth by connecting them with experienced Macedonian professionals. In addition, she was further able to reconnect with her roots through her participation in Birthright Macedonia, where she interned at the President of Macedonia’s office, which reinvigorated her passion for Macedonian issues.

Emilija completed her undergraduate studies and received a BA in Criminology with minors in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Toronto. As an aspiring lawyer, she is currently working towards her LLB in London, England. With her education, she hopes to advocate for Macedonian rights as she makes sure to include her heritage in everything she does.

UNITED, WE CAN!
