UMD Hosting Inaugural Macedonian Women’s Conference on March 9-10, 2023

The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) announces the launch of its inaugural Women’s Conference set to take place on March 9-10, 2023, in Washington D.C. Join us for an engaging conversation, a supportive and empowered environment, and networking opportunities, all while celebrating International Women’s Day and the vital role women play in our communities.

The conference will feature panel discussions aimed at empowering women and promoting gender equality in the workplace, self-love, and overcoming adversity. Participants will have the opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals and gain valuable insights on how to advance their careers.

UMD’s Director of Advancement and Development, Ema Brown, said: “It’s time for Macedonian women to get together and share their success stories. We come from a culture that expects a lot from us women, so it’s time to check in on each other, show our support, and celebrate each other.”

UMD has partnered with the Pitch at the Wharf and secured a fantastic penthouse with breathtaking panoramic views of the Capitol Building, the Washington Monument, and the Potomac River. Additionally, it has various dining options, including seafood restaurants, bars, and cafes.

Macedonian women from throughout U.S. and Canada will be in attendance. UMD will start announcing speakers in our weekly newsletters and on social media. If interested in speaking at the conference, please get in touch with Ema Brown at ebrown@umdiaspora.org.

The full agenda, as of February 2, 2023, can be found here.

We look forward to seeing you on March 9-10, 2023!
