A Record 18 Bitove Macedonian Scholarships Distributed

UMD is pleased to share this special announcement from the Canadian Charity Nova Generation:

It’s been a unique, yet busy couple of years for Nova Generation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We are pleased to inform you all that fundraising for Nova Generation has not slowed. For this, we would like to thank you for your ongoing generous donations which allow us to support so many young, talented rising stars in the Macedonian diaspora.

We are excited to fill you in on the 2021 Bitove Scholarship recipients. It appears the interest and need for a Macedonian-focused scholarship is continuing to grow year after year, with demand being higher than ever before. Last year, we received our largest number of applicants to date and distributed a record 18 scholarships!

The recipients of the 2021 Bitove Scholarship are made up of driven and proud Macedonians who have high ambitions in the fields of law, business, medical studies, social sciences, and political sciences. Ranging from full-fledged graduate students to those who are excited to take their first steps in post-secondary education, we are confident that the 2021 Bitove Scholarship recipients represent the next generation of Macedonian leaders.

Owing large thanks to the Bitove Foundation, we are very proud to be a small part of the big success of these students by administering the Bitove Scholarship, named after our dear friend and the late John L. N. Bitove, C.M. who served as a pillar in the global Macedonian community.

We are thrilled with last year’s group of recipients and are excited to administer the next round over the coming months. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions for future scholarship rounds or essay questions you would like to see included.

If you would like to get involved in Nova Generation’s youth programs, please contact us.

Congratulations to our recipients!
