It’s that time again!
The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) is thrilled to announce the launch of the official website for its 4th Annual UMD Global Conference (UMD GC2013), which will take place this summer in our ancestral and historical homeland – Macedonia – July 24-August 2, 2013.
The website link is http://www.UMDGlobalConference.org and fully bilingual in English and Macedonian.
Are you coming to Macedonia this summer? Bring your entire family! Don’t miss out on the conversation to shape the future of Macedonia! 100 years have passed since the end of the Balkan Wars and the signing of the Treaty of Bucharest and we have a message for the world.
Aleksandar Palace in Skopje will be the main conference hotel this year!
July 24th will feature a welcoming reception for all the guests. July 25th, 26th, and 27th will have back-to-back discussions on the history of our homeland and people in the last 100 years, what has happened, where we are at, but more importantly, where we are going. Each evening will feature a different Macedonian cultural and dancing program, with the highlight concluding on Saturday, July 27th with a Gala – a prime networking opportunity for our Diaspora, friends, and Macedonian society.
But that’s not all!
Join us for a rich cultural experience of Macedonia between July 28th and August 3rd, sightseeing in Skopje, Ohrid, Krusevo, Bitola, Macedonian wine country (witness 2,000 years of wine-making), Mala Prespa (in Albania), Blagoevgrad (in Bulgaria), and Edessa/Voden (in Greece).
Register now to attend the conference and the cultural tours! Be part of Macedonian history – 100 years later!
