George Markou 

George Markou was born and raised in Canada, and is of Macedonian descent. He earned his business degree from York University and started a career in public accounting, before joining Crowntek Business Center as Vice President of Operations. He is articled with Cooper & Lybrand. Markou founded Unigistix, an integrated logistics service provider, which became the largest logistics provider to Canada’s telecommunications industry. At Unigistix, he employed over 600 team members, and sponsored 11 people to obtain their P.Log designation. Unigistix has been accredited as one of Canada’s top 50 best-managed companies.

Mr. Markou currently works for Unify4Life, a hardware and software technology company, which he also co-founded. As a long-time community leader, he is currently serving on the Board of the Canadian Macedonian Place, and the Advisory Council of the United Macedonian Diaspora, as well as being Honorary Chair of Unigistix, Inc. and Vice Chair Administration for the Canadian Professional Logistics Institute. He is married with two children.
