 WASHINGTON, D.C. - March 11, 2009 - The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) today signed an exclusive agreement with United Airlines in order to provide discounted airline ticket prices to participants of UMD's First Global Conference 2009, which will be held in Washington, D.C., June 11-13, 2009. "We are extremely happy that we will be able to provide our Global Conference participants the dedicated service with United Airlines" - said Vera Zlidar, a member of the Planning Committee.
Through this partnership, the UMD Global Conference participants can obtain discounts of up to 15% off of airfares when flying on UMD's preferred partner airlines: United, United Express, and Lufthansa. United code share flights operated by Air Canada, Island Air, and Great Lakes are also eligible for these discounts.
"United and their partners, Lufthansa and Air Canada are an excellent fit for the UMD membership located throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe. In addition to serving all three airports of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, they have a wide network of flights all over the world," said Zlidar.
