Beijing, December 6 (Macedonian Information Agency) - The People's Republic of China demonstrated its support for Macedonia in terms of preserving its constitutional name in international use through a signed joint declaration, stated Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski in Beijing following a meetings with China's top officials.

- The relationship between Macedonia and China has always been at high level, and this visit and joint statement signed by the Chinese President Hu Jintao gives new, profound dimension, underlying the countries' intention to make additional efforts towards strengthening the bilateral cooperation in the future, the President said.

The meetings that was held with Chinese top officials, according to Crvenkovski, focused on determining the opportunities for intensification of bilateral ties.

- For Macedonia the economic cooperation is of significant interest. So far, it was characterised by import of Chinese products on the Macedonian market. This visit opened opportunities for Macedonian firms to place their products on the Chinese market with assistance by Chinese institutions, added Crvenkovski.

The meetings also aimed at discussing the possibility for Chinese investments in Macedonia, as well as the efforts made in the country towards establishing favourable ambient for foreign investments.
- We also discussed opportunities for reinforcement of cooperation in the field of education, health system, culture, agriculture as well as exchange of technological experiences, stated President Crvenkovski, who is in an official visit to PR China this week.
