The Honorable Peter Breen brings to the attention of the New South Wales Parliament the plight of Macedonians who have been denied the right to ethnic self-identification by the States of Greece, Bulgaria and Albania, as well as by Australian governments, under pressure from a lobby of the Greek State

The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMDiaspora) expresses its disappointment and apprehension toward the recent announcement by the current Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Besnik Mustafaj, that the government in Tirana cannot guarantee the territorial integrity of Macedonia, should ongoing talks between the governments of Serbia and Kosovo lead to Kosovo independence. 

In his last Ambassadorial efforts to solidify U.S.-Macedonian relations, His Excellency, Ambassador Nikola Dimitrov briefed various Congressional staffers, members of the media, and Greek and Macedonian émigré organizations, respectively on the topic of The right to an identity: Republic of Macedonia and Resolutions H. Res. 521 and H. Con. Res. 306.
