UMD Honors Outgoing Macedonian Consul General to Detroit

On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, the United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) was proud to present Elena Zarkovska, Consul General of the Republic of Macedonia in Detroit, Michigan with a plaque of appreciation for her outstanding service and dedication to the Macedonian communities in Michigan and Ohio.

Zarkoska, who is coming to the end of her four year term, used the occasion to reflect on her time as Consul General and praise the work of UMD, “I am pleased, honored and humbled to accept this plaque of appreciation from a group of distinguished individuals whose outstanding generosity demonstrates a commitment to the tradition of yesterday and the vision of tomorrow.”

Two members of UMD’s young leaders program Generation M, Alex Atanasovski and Alek Vasilevski presented the plaque.
