Please help us present the existence of heritage speakers of Macedonian in the U.S. and help us improve Macedonian heritage language instruction. (A heritage Macedonian language learner has been raised in a home where Macedonian language is spoken and who is able to communicate in English and in Macedonian.)
Elena Petroska is a visiting professor at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana: http://www.indiana.edu/~iuslavic/EPetroska_Page.shtml She received a grant for research on heritage speakers of the Macedonian Language in the United States, funded by the ACLS (American Council of Learned Societies). She needs as many as possible young Macedonian-Americans (12 to 30 years old) who would fill out a questionnaire. Please contact Elena on her email ( [email protected]) and participate into this opportunity for presenting the Macedonian as a heritage language in the U.S.
